Adding a tawk.to widget to your website
The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.
You can add a similar chat widget to your website. One way to do this is by simply pasting a snippet of JavaScript code into your website’s HTML. Read on to find out how.
If you’re using a content management platform (like WordPress, Squarespace, Magento or Shopify), scroll down further for detailed articles on installing the widget.
Follow these steps to get the JavaScript code:
1. Log in to your tawk.to account.
2. On your dashboard, select the property you need the code for. Hover over the property name to ensure you’ve selected the correct one.
3. Click the gear icon on the top menu to go to the Administration panel.
4. From the Administration menu, select Chat Widget under Channels.
5. Copy the code in the Widget Code field.
6. Paste the code just before the </body> tag in your website’s HTML.
For example:

</html>
Publish the page and you’ll see the chat widget on your website.
