Adding the tawk.to widget to your Drupal 8 website
Installation from the Administration panel
1. Download the latest tawk_to.zip release.
2. Log in to the Drupal 8 Administration panel and click Extend.
3. In the module list, click the Install new module button.
4. Click Choose File, select the downloaded module zip file, and then click Install.
5. After installation completes, return to the module list.
6. Search for tawk.to, tick the checkbox beside tawk.to Module, and click the Install button to enable it.
2. Log in to the Drupal 8 Administration panel and click Extend.
3. In the module list, click the Install new module button.
4. Click Choose File, select the downloaded module zip file, and then click Install.
5. After installation completes, return to the module list.
6. Search for tawk.to, tick the checkbox beside tawk.to Module, and click the Install button to enable it.
Installation using Composer
This method is available only if your Drupal installation has composer.
- Go to your <DRUPAL_INSTALLATION> folder (where composer.json lives).
- Run the following command: composer require drupal/tawkto
- Log in to the your administration panel and click on Extend.
- In the module list, search for tawk.to and enable the module by ticking the checkbox beside tawk.to Module.
- Click on Install button to complete the installation.
Configuring the Widget
- In the main menu, click Configure.
- Expand the Development selection and select tawk.to module settings.
- After logging in to your tawk.to account, you will be able to select a widget to display on your site.
