Editing your personal profile page

The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.

Every tawk.to account comes with a personal profile page. This page features a live chat widget, allowing visitors to start a conversation with you directly.

You can personalize your Profile Page with a bio, images, and links, then share the link in your email signature, on business cards, or anywhere you connect with customers. It’s a quick way to introduce yourself and offer real-time support, all from one page.

How to edit your Profile Page

1. Log in to your tawk.to account.

2. Click your profile image in the lower left corner of the dashboard.

3. Click Edit profile.

4. Click Profile Page under Profile in the left menu.

5. In the Profile Page screen, you can:

- Edit the Visitor page URL
- Switch the Page Status
- Change the Page Image
- Modify the Page Appearance
- Change the Language and edit the content
- Switch Visitor IP Tracking on/off

Visitor page URL

You can personalize the last part of your public profile URL. For example:

https://tawk.to/YourCustomName

To edit it, enter a custom name in Visitor Page URL and click Save.

If the name is already taken, you’ll need to choose a different one.

Page Status

If you don't want your profile page to be public, you can disable it at any time.

To turn the page off, set the Page Status to Inactive.

When inactive, anyone who visits your page will see an error message instead.

Page Image

Under the Page Image section, click Modify Profile Picture to:

  • Upload a profile picture, or

  • Add a company logo or other branding images

Then, click Save.

Image guidelines:

  • Minimum size: 80 × 80 pixels

  • Maximum size: 2084 × 2084 pixels

Page Appearance

You can easily adjust the look and feel of your profile page:

  1. Use the color picker under Page Color to set a background color for your page.

  2. Click Advanced to open the Page Content editor for more customization.

Page Content

To change your page’s language, select the language you want from the dropdown menu under Language.

Click Edit Content to personalize your page even further. This opens the Page Content editor. From here, you can:

  • Choose a theme

  • Update the color scheme

  • Add social media links

  • Write your bio or company description

Use the real-time preview on the right side to see your changes as you make them.

You don’t have to fill in every section. If you leave any fields blank, those elements will simply be excluded from the final version of your profile page.

Data & Privacy

To enhance privacy, you can choose not to track the IP addresses of visitors who view your profile.

To disable tracking, switch the Track IP addresses option to Off.

Additional considerations

  • Only one visitor page URL is allowed per account, and it must be unique.

  • Your profile page is public, so only include information you’re comfortable sharing.

  • Disabling IP tracking may limit your ability to gather visitor analytics.
