Chat pages are hosted landing pages that let you turn links into conversations. You can create a chat page for every property (business) you manage in tawk.to.
Don’t have a website? A chat page is your own place on the internet where you can educate your customers about your company and invite them to engage with you via live chat.
A chat page allows you to share your company profile, link to social channels, and start live chats. Include the link to your chat page in your email signature and business cards, so customers can start a chat with you directly and connect with you on social media. You can even add your company story.
Looking to have a page just for yourself? While any property member can respond on a page for a business or organization, only you can access the settings and conversations associated with your personal profile page. Design your own widget, tabs, shortcuts and more. Now you have a direct line to your customers.
NOTE: The instructions below can only be completed from a browser or the tawk.to desktop apps. They cannot be completed in the tawk.to mobile app.

How to set up a chat page
Once you’ve created your page, you can modify its name and details in the Page settings panel.
If you would like to modify the name of your page, you can enter a new name under Page Name and click the Save button in the right of the field.
If you would prefer not to use an existing chat page, you can turn the page off by switching the page status to Inactive. If a visitor navigates to an inactive profile page, they will receive an error message.
Under Page Image, you can upload a picture of your business logo. Be sure to keep the image within the limits provided (a minimum of 80 x 80 pixels and a maximum of 2084 x 2084 pixels).
In the Visitor page URL field, you can modify the final part of the URL. Clicking the Save button will update the URL as long as the one you have chosen isn't already taken.
Modify the appearance of your chat page
Under Page Appearance, you can change the color of the background of your chat page. Click the Advanced button to start editing the page in the Page Content window.
The Page Content window allows you to alternate themes, change color schemes, add social links and completely fill out your company details. Add as much or as little here as you like.
Any sections you leave blank will not appear on the final page, as you can see in the real-time preview on the right side of the window.
You can add the following:
- Company name
- Company URL
- A summary for your business
- A description of your business
You can also select an industry category, subcategory, and country.
Finally, add social profiles and any other external links associated with your business.
Click the Save button in the lower-right corner to update your changes. You can view your page live by clicking the View tawk.to Page button in the upper-right corner.
When you’re done, click the X (escape) icon in the upper right to return to your Dashboard.
Set up the language and widget for your Page
Under Language, select a language for your page.
The Edit Content button will take you back to the Page Content window.
Finally, under Chat Widget, select a widget to add to your page. You can customize each widget’s appearance, content, and behavior in the Chat Widget section of the dashboard.
