How to change your tawk.to billing details

The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.

Use the Purchases & Invoices area of your tawk.to Dashboard to update payment methods, edit billing addresses, download invoices, and manage subscriptions.

Open Billing in your Dashboard

1. Log in to your tawk.to account.

2. Select the correct property.

3. Click Administration in the left navigation bar.

4. Click Purchases and Invoices under Billing in the left submenu.

5. The Purchases and Invoices page shows your active add-ons, payment details, invoices, next billing date, and actions you can take.

Note: Only Admins on the account can access and change billing settings. If you don’t see Billing, ask an Admin to grant you access.

Update your payment method

1. On Purchases and Invoices, find Payment method.

2. Click Modify next to the payment method you want to change.

3. Choose or add a new payment method and click Activate Now to save it.

Your new payment method becomes active immediately and will be used for future charges.

Change your billing address

1. On the Purchases and Invoices page, click Modify next to the billing address.

2. Enter the new address and click Save.

The updated billing address will appear on future invoices and can be used to regenerate past invoices with the new information if needed.

View or download invoices

1. On Purchases and Invoices, see the Subscription invoices section on the right of each subscription.

2. Click an invoice to view or download a PDF copy for your records.

You can download invoices for prior billing periods from the same page.

Modify or cancel subscriptions

  1. To change a plan (upgrade/downgrade), click Modify next to the subscription and choose the plan you want. Learn more here: How do I change my tawk.to subscription?

  2. To cancel a subscription, click Cancel subscription beside the active plan. Learn more here: How do I cancel a tawk.to subscription?

Changes to subscriptions may take effect immediately or at the end of your current billing period depending on the add-on — follow the on-screen instructions.

Renew or transfer subscriptions

To renew a canceled subscription, open the canceled subscription entry, click Renew subscription now, and follow the prompts to select a plan and payment method. Note: Only an account admin can renew a subscription. Learn more here: How do I renew my canceled tawk.to subscription?

If you renew your subscription before the previous billing cycle and the payment is successful, then the billing date remains the same. The next payment will take place on the original billing date.

If you renew your subscription after the previous billing cycle, then the billing date starts when the payment is successful.

If you need to move a subscription to a different property, follow the steps in this guide: Can I transfer a tawk.to subscription to a different property?

Important considerations

  • Check property selection first
If you manage multiple properties, always confirm you’re on the correct property before making billing changes—billing is property-specific.

  • Timing of subscription changes
Downgrades or cancellations may take effect at different times (immediately or at the end of the current billing cycle). Read the on-screen details when you modify a plan.

  • Billing Admin role
The user who last updated a payment method for an add-on becomes the Billing Admin.

  • Cannot remove Billing Admins
Billing Admins cannot be removed from a property while they are assigned this role.

  • Default invoice name
If a subscription doesn’t have a billing address, invoices will show the Billing Admin’s name by default.

  • Updating past invoices
Once you add or update a billing address, past invoices under Subscription Invoices will display the new billing information when viewed or downloaded.
