How to edit your tawk.to account settings

The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.

This guide shows you how to edit your tawk.to account settings such as account name, status, profile image, mail notifications, and password.


Follow these steps to edit your account settings:

1. Log in to your tawk.to account.


2. On your dashboard, click your profile image in the lower left corner.

3. Click Edit Profile.

4. On the Account Settings page, under the Profile tab, you can edit your Name, Email, Title, and Profile Image

Your Name is the default name customers will see in chat conversations. You can also use different aliases and images if you prefer to stay anonymous when responding to chats. To learn more about creating aliases, click here. To learn more about changing your profile image, click here.

Your Email is your tawk.to login email. It’s also where you’ll receive tawk.to mail notifications.

Your Title appears in chat conversations.


Make your changes and click the save icon for the respective field.

5. Under the Notifications tab, you can enable/disable the Weekly Roundup email setting.

6. Under the Settings tab, you’ll find your password and multi-factor authentication settings.

To change your password, enter the Current Password and New Password, and click Save. You’ll be logged out after changing your password, and you’ll need to log in with the new password.

To enable Multi-Factor Authentication, click Activate. You’ll receive an email with further instructions. Follow the instructions to complete the activation.

Your changes are effective immediately, and you change your account settings anytime.
