How to whitelist your support email

Whitelisting your support email lets email providers know they can trust you. It keeps your support emails going to the Inbox and away from the Spam folder.

To ensure high delivery rates, whitelist noreply@tawk.to and tickets@tawk.to in addition to your Ticket Forwarding Email

NOTE: The instructions below can be completed from a browser or the tawk.to desktop apps.

How to find your Ticket Forwarding Email

Your Ticket Forwarding Email is the return email address for all support emails. You can find it in the Dashboard of your tawk.to account.


If you have multiple properties, check to make sure you're viewing the correct one. Hover over the current property name in the upper-left menu to select a new property from the list.

Select the ⚙️Administration (gear) icon in the upper tab menu.

Then, copy the email address in the Ticket Forwarding Email field.

Gmail 

Add a contact in Gmail

Adding a contact is the fastest way to whitelist an email address in Gmail.

Follow these steps:


  1. From the Gmail Inbox, open an email from the Ticketing Forwarding Email address.
  2. Hover over the sender details in the upper right of the email
  3. Click the Add Contact icon in the upper-left corner of the details pane
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for noreply@tawk.to and tickets@tawk.to. 

Create a filter in Gmail

You can also whitelist an email by creating a filter in your Gmail settings.


Here’s how:


1. Copy the Ticket Forwarding Email address you would like to whitelist.


2. From the Gmail inbox, click the Settings gear in the upper-right corner of the panel.


3. Click the See all settings button.


4. In the upper menu, select Filters and blocked addresses.


5. Select Create a new filter.


6. Add the ticket forwarding email address.


7. Click Create filter.


8. Tick the box next to Never send it to Spam.


9. Click Create Filter.


10. Create additional filter for noreply@tawk.to and tickets@tawk.to


MS Outlook

To whitelist an email address in Microsoft Outlook, you’ll need to add it to the Safe Sender list in your Junk email settings:


1. In your Outlook Inbox, right-click on any email from the Ticket Forwarding Email address.


2. Hover over Junk in the drop-down menu and select Never Block Sender.


3. The email you selected will be automatically added to the Safe Sender list.


4. You will also have the option to Never Block Sender’s Domain (@example.com) and/or Never Block this Group or Mailing List.


5. Repeat steps 1-4 for noreply@tawk.to and tickets@tawk.to

Yahoo Mail

You can whitelist an email in Yahoo from the Inbox or from an open ticketing email.


1. In your Yahoo Inbox, right-click an email from the Ticket Forwarding Email address or open a ticketing email and hover over the sender address.


2. Select + Add to contacts.


3. Add a name in the Contact details pane that opens and click Save.


4. Repeat steps 1-3 for noreply@tawk.to and tickets@tawk.to
