How do I remove the Knowledge Base search from my chat widget?

The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.

Follow these steps to remove the Knowledge Base search from your chat widget:

1. Log in to your tawk.to account.


2. On your dashboard, ensure the correct property is selected.

3. Click Administration on the top menu.

4. On the left menu, go to Channels > Chat Widget.

5. Click Edit Content under Widget Content.

6. To remove all Knowledge Base-related cards from your chat widget, turn off the Knowledge Base switch.

You’ll see the search bar removed from the widget preview.

With Knowledge Base switched off, cards such as KB Search and KB Articles List won’t appear on your widget.

7. If you prefer having some of the Knowledge Base cards enabled, keep the Knowledge Base switched on, and enable/disable specific cards. For example, you can turn off the KB Search card alone if you want.

That’s it! You can switch the Knowledge Base search on or off anytime with the above steps.
