Why am I not getting notifications?
The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.
If you’re not getting notifications from your tawk.to Dashboard, it’s usually because your browser notifications aren’t enabled. Follow the steps below to make sure your notifications are set up correctly.
Adjusting browser notification settings
Google Chrome
If you’re using Windows, click the three vertical dots in the top right corner next to your profile image, then go to Settings.
For Mac users, click Chrome in the menu bar at the top, and select Preferences.Go to Privacy and Security > Site settings > Notifications.
Scroll down to Allowed to send notifications and click Add.
Enter https://dashboard.tawk.to and click Add.
Mozilla Firefox
For Mac:
Click Firefox in the top menu, and select Preferences.
Go to Privacy and Security > Settings.
Click Allow next to the tawk.to website.
For Windows:
Click the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top right corner.
Go to Options > Content. Then, click Choose (next to Notifications).
Review the list of websites and ensure tawk.to is allowed.
Microsoft Edge
Click the three horizontal dots next to your profile image.
Go to Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions > Notifications.
Scroll down to the Allow section and click Add.
Enter the tawk.to site and click Add.
Make sure Quiet Notification Requests is toggled off.
Safari
In the Safari menu, click Preferences.
Go to Websites > Notifications.
You’ll see a list of websites. Find tawk.to and select Allow to enable notifications.
Now that you’ve enabled your browser’s notifications, you should receive alerts whenever a visitor starts a chat or submits a ticket.
