Enabling notifications on Android

With the tawk.to mobile app, you can answer chats on the go, manage property settings, edit shortcuts and much more. The app is free and you can find it on the Google Play store by searching for tawk.to.

Answering chats on your mobile device gives you the freedom to step away from your computer while staying connected with your customers. However, it’s important to set up your notifications first, so you don’t miss anything.

Once you've installed the Android app, make your way to the settings area on your device.

Now select Apps.

Here you can select the tawk.to app if it's recently been opened or select See all apps and scroll down until you find it in the alphabetical list.

In the App info window, you can make changes to permissions, see advanced stats and more. Select Notifications to make changes to your alerts.

You can now turn on/off all notifications or change each notification type individually.

To make sure you're ready to answer chats, make your way back to the tawk.to app and select the hamburger icon in the top right corner to open the menu.

Select the status button in the top right above your name. It will show your current status as Online, Away or Invisible.

Make sure your status is set to online, the property you want to answer chats for is turned on under the Accept chats from heading, and Do not disturb mode is turned off.

Now you're ready to answer any visitors that start a chat and you'll be notified of an incoming chat based on how you set up your notifications.
