How to integrate AI Assist with Shopify
The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.
Note: Integrations are only available with the Growth, Business, and Enterprise plans.
Ensure that you’ve activated the tawk.to Live Chat widget on your Shopify store.
Then, follow these steps to integrate Shopify with AI Assist:
2. On your dashboard, select the property for which you want to set this up. Hover over the property name to ensure you’ve selected the correct one.
3. Click Add-ons on the top menu.
4. Click Settings under AI Assist.
5. Click Integration/API.
6. Scroll down to Shopify and click Add Tool.
7. The Shopify tool is enabled. Click Edit to modify the Enabled Operations.
8. You can enable/disable the following operations:
- orderSearch
- productSearch
This allows customers to check their order details by entering the order ID. AI Assist will fetch their order details from Shopify and respond with the following information:
- Price
- Fulfillment status
- Financial status
- Tracking company
- Tracking number
For example:
This allows customers to query product details by entering the product name. AI Assist will fetch the product details from Shopify and respond with the following information:
- Title
- Description
- Vendor
- Price range
- Product link
For example:
9. Click Save.
Remember to test your integration for accuracy and latency. Fix any issues that may affect your customers’ experience negatively.
With this integration, customers can now easily get product and order information from your Shopify store via live chat.
