Changing your widget language
The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.
Using the widget language settings on your tawk.to dashboard, you easily can customize the language visitors will see on your chat widget.
You can also customize the widget language for each property if you have multiple properties.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to change the language for the menu items, heading, body text, and other areas of your chat widget.
Note: This only affects the text shown on your chat widget, and doesn’t affect your Chat and Profile Pages or your Knowledge Base.
Follow these steps to change your widget’s language settings:
3. Click the gear icon on the top menu to go to the Administration panel.
4. On the Administration menu, select Chat Widget under Channels.

If you change the widget language from the default English to Spanish, your widget’s menu items will appear like this:
6. To customize the header, body, and other widget content, click Edit Content.

7. Once you’ve made all your changes, click x esc to close the Widget Content page.
Your changes are effective immediately, and you can change these settings anytime.
