Adding and managing contacts on Android
Creating a contact in tawk.to gives your team access to past conversations, visitor details, and notes.
Adding contacts from your Android device lets you collect new leads and follow up with people and organizations on the go and in context.

Add a new contact using the Android app
Open your tawk.to Android app and select the Contacts icon in the lower menu.

To add an individual contact, select the People tab. Then, tap the plus sign in the lower-right corner.

Add one or more of the following contact details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone number
You must include a phone number or email to successfully create a Contact.
Then, tap the check icon in the upper-right corner to save your entry. Your contact will now appear in your tawk.to CRM.

Edit a contact profile
To edit an individual contact profile, tap the Contacts icon in the lower menu. Then, select a name in the list.

Tap the options (three dots) icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Then, select Edit Contact Details.

Fill in or edit the form fields to update your contact’s profile.
Here’s what you can add or modify:
- First and last name
- Job title
- Additional phone numbers
- User ID
- Additional emails
- Social profiles
- Tags
- Custom attributes

Use the upper tab menu to view additional information about your contact and a complete history of your past conversations.
Slide the upper menu horizontally to select any of the following:
- Contact details
- More info (a timeline of contact activity)
- Timeline (all notes, chats and tickets)
- Notes
- Chats
- Tickets

Add a note to a contact profile
To add a note to a contact profile, open the contact details.
Select Notes in the upper tab menu.
Then, click the plus icon in the lower-right corner.

Add your note. Then, tap the check icon in the upper-right corner.
Your note will now appear in your Notes and Timeline sections.

Create a ticket from a chat in contacts
To create a ticket from a chat in contacts, tap the Contacts icon in the lower menu and select a name in the list.

Swipe left in the header menu. Then, tap the Chats tab.
Tap a chat to select and open it.

In the lower menu, select New Ticket.

Add the subject of your ticketing email and a message.
Select a Department, Agent, and Priority level.
Add a tag. You’ll be able to use it to sort and filter your contacts later.
Then, click the Convert button to create your new ticket.

Delete a contact
To delete an individual contact, tap the Contacts icon in the lower menu and tap to select a name in the list.

Click the options (three dots) icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Then, select Delete Contact.

Tap Delete to confirm. Keep in mind that deleting a contact is final.
