How to add message credits (overages) to your AI Assist plan
The instructions below are for desktops and laptops only.
The tawk.to AI Assist add-on includes a limited number of messages, known as message credits, based on your selected plan:

These are messages that AI Assist sends to your customers in chat conversations. Every message AI Assist sends to a customer counts as 1 message, and it’s deducted from your monthly allocation.
Once the monthly limit is reached, AI Assist will stop responding to your chats until it resets the following month.
Note: Test messages aren’t deducted from your monthly allocation when previewing and testing in AI Assist’s Settings.
Note: Overages aren’t available with the Hobby plan.
For example:
If you’re reaching the monthly 1,000-message limit with the Growth plan, you can purchase an additional 1000 messages for $30 ($0.03 per message).
Your overages never expire. You can purchase overages in blocks of 1,000 messages as a backup, and they’ll only be used when your plan’s monthly quota is reached.

Follow these steps to purchase overages:
2. On your dashboard, select the property for which you want to set this up. Hover over the property name to ensure you’ve selected the correct one.
3. Click Add-ons on the top menu.
4. Click Settings under AI Assist.
5. Click Top Up under Message Usage.
6. Overages come in blocks of 1,000. Click + or - to set the number of messages you want. The Subtotal shows the amount we’ll charge your current payment method.
You’ll get a receipt sent to your registered email address. If you want a copy sent to a different email, enter the email address.
Then, click Submit credit request. We’ll usually process credit requests within 24 hours. Payments via PayPal may take longer.
Your overages will be reflected on your dashboard under Message Usage.
You can top up your overages anytime to ensure AI Assist can support your incoming chat volumes.
