How to add and delete organizations in Contacts
The Contacts CRM allows you to group all of your contacts by organization. You can create new organizations and associate each contact with one or more organizations so it's easy to find your primary contacts and see the whole conversation for each business you work with.
Add a new organization in Contacts
Log in to your tawk.to account.
If you have multiple properties, check to make sure you're viewing the correct one. Hover over the current property name in the upper-left menu to select a new property from the list.
To create a new entry for an organization, select the Contacts icon in the upper tab menu. Here, you can view individual contacts, organizations, or any segments you have created.
Next, select Organizations in the Contacts menu. You will see a list of organizations associated with the currently selected property.
Click the + Add button above the list. Then, select New Organization in the pull-down menu.
In the new window that appears, add the Name, Email, and Phone number associated with your new contact. Then click Create to save your changes.

Import multiple contacts
To add multiple contacts from a CSV file, click the + Add button above the list of organizations. Then, select Import in the pull-down menu.
Drag and drop a CSV file containing the names and details for your new organizations or upload the file from your current device.
- The CSV file must contain the name of each organization
- User IDs, email addresses and phone numbers can also be imported automatically
- Phone numbers may only include a plus sign (+) and digits
Check the box to skip the first row if it contains headings. Then, select the columns and labels you want to include.
When you’ve finished selecting the data for import, click the Next button.
Edit or delete individual listings as needed. Then, click the Save Changes button.
Next, click the Import button to add the new entries to your list of organizations in Contacts. You can make any additional changes later by selecting individual items in your list.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully imported your new organizations.
How to Delete Contacts
To delete one or more contacts from the Organizations list, hover over the profile icon and tick the checkbox for each contact you would like to delete.
Once you have made your selection, click the Delete icon in the upper-right menu.
Then, click the Delete button in the popup window to confirm your choice.
