Blocking the widget by location

You may not want to give visitors from certain countries the ability to chat.


Here's how to block the widget by location: 


First, if you have multiple properties, check to make sure you're currently viewing the correct one by hovering over the hamburger icon at the top of the Dashboard.

Next head to AdministrationChannels, then select Chat Widget 

Scroll down to Availability Restriction and click Configure in the Country Restriction section.

This will open a new window and allow you to specify exactly what countries to restrict. You have two options: Show widget only to visitors of the following countries or Hide widget only from visitors of the following countries.

If you only want the chat widget to be available to visitors from a small number of countries, select Show widget only to visitors of the following countries. Then enter the countries you want to allow by entering them in the text box below and click the green Save button in the bottom right corner.

To make the widget available to most of the world and remove a few specific countries, the Hide widget only from visitors of the following countries option is the one to go for. Then enter the names of the countries from which you want to hide the chat widget and click the green Save button in the bottom right corner.
